Krysana Maragh is a first-generation Jamaican American screenwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. After a lifetime of being the only black person in the room, she now specializes in a genre she calls "Revenge of Suburban Black America" centered on diverse characters driven by self-determination with nothing to lose and no interest in restraint. Her influences are Skins (UK), Degrassi: Next Gen, and SRAM. Equal parts Paramore and Kendrick Lamar, she's in the business of misery but we gon' be alright.

Krysana holds an MFA in Film (TV Writing) from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science and Media from Emory University. Her work has screened at Black Girls Rock!, Urban World Film Festival and she is the winner of Funniest Achievement in a Teleplay at the 2025 Columbia University Film Festival.  Krysana's take on 2000s suburban life highlights a generation-robbed, giving rise to a New American Dream: Visibility.
